Our Easter Morning

Malachi has been waiting for Easter, since Christmas! LOL What can I say, my boy likes his candy! Just like his mommy! We are slowly learning the REAL meaning of this day!

Malachi wanted to make sure that the Easter bunny had a treat, just like Santa. So he left him a bowl of m&m's & jelly beans and a bottle of water! It wast just too cute! I'll post pictures later!

This morning, E.B. (easter bunny- Daddy), woke up early and "hid" some easter eggs outside for the boys. This is the first year we have done this at our house. When everyone woke up, they opened their easter baskets, and we headed outside. It was so much fun, to watch my boys! I thank God everyday for these gifts He has given Christopher & I!

Christopher made everyone some VERY yummy strawberry, pineapple smoothies for breakfast & we just got ready for church. Malachi looked at me and said "Mommy, you look girly!" LOL I asked if that was okay, and he said "yeah" Kid's truly do say the darndest things!!!

He makes me laugh!

I'm not good at posting regularly....which is cool, since no one really follows my blog anyways! LOL

I really just want to have this to record little things that are said or done during my days with my boys! Lately, Malachi has said some funny stuff....this boy makes me laugh!!!
  • "Green Patrick's Day" as Malachi dubbed it....he could NOT wait to go to Lake Katherine, which has been a tradition, since his first St. Patrick's Day, to see the waterfall dyed green & taste the green river pop, which was his favorite!!!

Here is a picture that my friend Nicole took, since my battery was dead :-/

    Keagan LOVED running all around!

Malachi & one of his BFF's, Delilah!

          • The other day some children came to our door selling raffle tickets....I told them I didn't have any cash. After they left, Malachi said "you don't have any cash?" I explained cash=money...He proceeded to get his piggy bank and give me some cash.....Such a giving boy!!!

          • Whenever we are at the store, and Malachi sees something that he wants, he always asks first.."Is it on sale?" He know's his mommy doesn't buy anything that is not on sale!

          • Keagan is getting to the age that he wants to do everything his big brother is doing....sometimes to the annoyance of Malachi! The other day, Malachi was using his keyboard to play a game, and all Keagan wanted to do was push the buttons, so I grabbed Malachi's laptop and they both did some "homeschooling"

          Tackling a giant!

With trembling hands, today I registered to run in the 2011 Bank of America Chicago Marathon...It was a statement I made about 3 years ago, that I planned on running in the marathon before I turned 30....well, I'll be 30, by the time of the marathon, but I think it counts!

I plan on "leading" a team of runners to raise money for a non-profit organization, United To Rescue, a division of Teen Challenge International of Neosho, Missouri. United to Rescue exists for the sole purpose of reaching the addicted children, youth and adults of the Asia Pacific region with the message of hope! There will be a website to learn more about what United to Rescue is doing, and how YOU can help!

This is a HUGE goal I have set for myself, it will take a lot of heart, determination, help from family and friends, etc....But I know that I have my husband behind me, and that means the world to me, that he believes I can do it!!!

          Snowmagedon...Snowcapalyse...Blizzard 2011

The snow has come...and we have survived! We have enjoyed our snow day, thus far! We started the day off with getting a call from my Mom in the Philippines. We enjoyed donuts for breakfast, baked a red velvet cake for Daddy's birthday tomorrow, then headed out into the snow! FUN!!!

          Our walkway before...
          Daddy & Malachi- working hard!

Standing on the sidewalk, amidst the drifts!

He really wasn't sure about all this snow!

It was a tad windy, for Keagan's liking!

Wanted to go outside, right away to shovel!

          A view from our garage!

All bundled up and ready to go!

          Ready to start!

          A view of our neighbors!
Got caught eating the snow that snuck under the storm door!

Out of bed & ready to play!

A few pictures of the beginning of the storm!

Today we had an unexpected visit with two of Malachi & Keagan's best friends, Odin & Teague! We all had a blast playing all over the house. I love these boys, even when 3 out of 3 diapers I changed were poopy :-O It was a great glimpse into what life would be like with 4 children under the age of 4! I was able to get alot done around the house, while keeping the boys entertained! I was pretty proud of that!!!
Showing off their tower! That's what I call teamwork!
So serious...actually tired & zoned into Toy Story 3!

          Crazy hair Keagan!

Not sure if Teague wanted a hug, but Keagan was gonna give him one, anway!

          "M" for Malachi!

          "O" for Odin!

Such imagination...they were going around all around with their flashlights, inspecting things!

Oh, the joys of being a kid!

They found what they were looking for, "the Elephant!"
          They are too stinkin' cute!!!

          Chris' Pre-birthday party!

We got together with a few friends to celebrate Chris' 30th birthday at the India House. We had a great time, lots of laughs & great food!

Looks like I'm about show you my boxing skills....but don't worry, that was not the case!

          The girls!

          Awww...the Schabackers! How cute!

Two girls who can rule the court!!

I was invited awhile ago to go and see Morgan and Melanie Ransom play basketball. I had the privilege to be their Jr. High basketball coach. This is Morgan's senior year at Walther Lutheran High School and Melanie's sophomore year. They are not only amazing basketball players, but they are incredible girls! I was able to enjoy their game against Chicago Christian High School on Tuesday night, and then Chris & I took the boys to their game last night for Morgan's last home game as a senior. We had a great time, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for Morgan as she moves onto the next chapter in her life, college!!!

Melanie, taking it to the hoop!

A great put back, by Morgan!

          A nice look, by Melanie!
